Artist Statement

I create art that brings joy. I have been dancing for so long because it is the one thing in my life that brings me pure joy no matter what. I am constantly inspired by my own personal feelings toward dance, but I am more inspired by the people around me. More specifically, I am inspired by the joy dance brings to people with disabilities and how carefree and radiant a room can become when dance is brought into it. It is essential for my art to be brought into the world because I understand that dance can be so many different things. Dance is art, dance is therapy, dance is performative, dance is joy.
